april
Spring has sprung! It’s been a long time coming but something has changed this week. (Probably that it’s stopped raining!) There are lots of tiny leaves coming out, more spring flowers are emerging and the air just smells different. This month the moon is a ‘pink moon’ but this actually refers to the pink spring flowers that are coming out to say hello.
foraging clwb // march
Celebrating our first collaboration with We Are Woven. On Saturday we held our March Gwyr Foraging Clwb.
It was such a magical event, where we built community and shared knowledge.
early spring supper
A little recap of Saturday night’s Early Spring Supper Clwb. Such a magical celebration of new shoots and colourful roots!
infused cleaver water
Cleavers (or goosegrass) are one of my favourite spring plants; super rich in calcium, vitamin C, sodium and silica. They taste fresh and grassy, almost like cucumber I think. They are amazing at supporting the lymphatic system.
gwyr foraging clwb
A collaboration with We Are Woven, Gwyr Foraging Clwbs, offer us chance to document the subtle shift of the seasons and will delve into the potent medicines growing all around us throughout the year. They are open to all levels of understanding. We seek to build community and share knowledge through these events.
pots
using the right ceramics to serve our dishes is so important to us. they need to tell the story of our local area, to be the right colours, sizes and textures. right here on gower, we have the amazing ceramicists: micki schloessingk + chris jenkins, who work at bridge pottery in cheriton.
